American singer-songwriter and actress Liliva Isabel Rodrigo was born on February 20, 2003. Before her breakout role on High School Musical: The Musical: The Comedy (Disney+, 2019–2022), she was a star on the Disney Channel comedy Bizaardvark (2016–2019).

Early years

Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is the daughter of school teacher Jennifer and family therapist Chris Rodrigo.

She was raised in the nearby town of Temecula as an only child. According to Rodrigo, she is a Filipino American. Filipino culture and food are essential to her family since her grandpa and one of her paternal great-grandfathers both left the Philippines./ Her mom’s family comes from Ireland and Germany.

Rodrigo was a member of the after-school musical theatre program at Murrieta’s Lisa J. Mails Elementary School.

When Rodrigo was five, her parents enrolled her in voice training with Jennifer Dustman, who would later enter her in singing contests throughout town. Her parents signed her up for acting classes when Dustman suggested it.

At the age of nine, she started taking piano lessons. After being engrossed in Taylor Swift’s country music songs when he was 12 years old, Rodrigo began to play guitar and develop an interest in songwriting.

Career

Olivia Rodrigo made her television debut in a 2010 Old Navy commercial when she was seven.

Her breakout role was in the film Grace Stirs Up Success. After that, she became famous for appearing as Nini in Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Paige on the Disney program Bizaardvark. Her first album, Sour, and its sequel, Guts, catapulted her to fame. 

After signing with Geffen Records in 2021, Rodrigo dropped the smash hit “Drivers Licence” on worldwide charts, catapulting her to stardom. That same year, she released Sour, her first studio album, which went on to win several awards, including three Grammys.

Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U, a Disney+ documentary that followed in 2022, chronicled her artistic journey with Sour. Guts, her second studio album, came out in 2023.

Personal Life

Adam Faze, an actor, and Ethan Wacker, a producer, were her boyfriends.

There were rumors that she was seeing Zack Bia.

There were rumors that she was seeing Elijah Hewson in 2022.
