Born on July 18, 1977, in Surrey (Greater London), England, Kelly Reilly is the daughter of a hotel receptionist mother and police officer father. She has one brother named Neil who is a professional golfer. Her grandparents are from Ireland.

Career

Reilly started her career in 1995 with the TV show ‘The Biz.’ Her first movie was ‘Maybe Baby’ in 2000. People started to know her better when she played the main character in ‘After Miss Julie’ in 2003.

Reilly has been in many movies, such as ‘Mrs Henderson Presents’, ‘Pride & Prejudice’, ‘Me and Orson Welles,’ ‘Sherlock Holmes’, and ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’. She has also been in some TV shows like ‘Above Suspicion’, ‘True Detective’, and ‘Yellowstone’.

Between 1997 and 2006, she appeared in four plays by Terry Johnson: ‘Elton John’s Glasses’ (1997), ‘The London Cuckolds’ (1998), ‘The Graduate’ (2000) and ‘Piano/Forte’ (2006).

In 1995, she made her TV debut in the drama series ‘The Biz’ which unfortunately was short-lived. Also that year, she had a role in ‘Prime Suspect’ acting alongside Helen Mirren.

Kelly Reilly performed in Patrick Marber’s play “After Miss Julie,” which was inspired by August Strindberg’s naturalist tragedy of the same name (1888). The play debuted on stage at London’s Donmar Warehouse on November 20, 2003 and ran for three months. Reilly received high praise from critics for her portrayal of the titular character.

In 2003, she was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress of the year for her performance in ‘After Miss Julie’. At the time, she was the youngest nominee in history.

Personal Life

In 2010, Reilly started dating Kyle Baugher. They got engaged soon after that. In 2012, they had a wedding in Somerset, England.
