Elsa Majimbo, Lehlé Baldé Make the Forbes Africa ’30 Under 30′ Class of 2022

Forbes Africa has released its annual “30 Under 30” list, which honours individuals it describes as “visionaries of change and catalysts of innovation.” The “30 Under 30” list is an annual ranking of the most influential young Africans, organized by Forbes Africa magazine.

This year’s list is the eighth edition, which highlights young Africans who are innovative entrepreneurs, activists, artists, techies, sports celebrities, and prominent creatives leading a continent afflicted by a pandemic and rewriting the African story.

According to Forbes Africa, the individuals on the list prove that being on the most-anticipated list on the continent has nothing to do with clout or commerce, but rather, ensuring that they represent their countries and the Africa they want to serve.

The list includes Elsa Majimbo, a Kenyan comedian and social media celebrity; Fatima Babakura, a Nigerian designer and CEO of TIMABEE INC accessories company; Carla Frankel, the Founder and Creative Director of Top Drawer Collection, a South African luxury sleepwear brand; Lehlé Baldé BusinessDay Weekender Editor.

The full “30 Under 30” list can be viewed on the Forbes Africa website.

It is great to see that Forbes Africa is acknowledging the hard work and dedication of these young individuals who are making a difference in their countries and on the continent as a whole. We need more positive stories like this to help change the narrative about Africa and its people.
