Kim Kardashian Completes Law Program After Six Years of Dedicated Study

Kim Kardashian has officially finished her law program after six years of dedicated study, a milestone celebrated in a private graduation ceremony shared by sister Khloé Kardashian on May 21st.

The event featured speeches highlighting Kim’s relentless effort to contribute to criminal justice reform.

Kardashian, 44, revealed her passion for prison reform in a 2019 interview with Vogue, which motivated her to pursue a legal education.

Despite not holding an undergraduate degree, she opted for California’s “reading the law” program, a non-traditional path that allows individuals to study under the mentorship of a licensed attorney to qualify for the bar exam.

Videos posted by Khloé showed Kim on a small stage as her mentors spoke. Attorney Jessica Jackson, one of Kim’s sponsors, praised her for balancing her studies with motherhood, business ventures, and her public profile.

“Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice. No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case log books to read,” Jackson stated.

She emphasized Kim’s commitment of 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, for six straight years, all while raising four children, running businesses, and filming TV shows.

In March 2025, it was reported that Kardashian took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE), a requirement for bar admission in most U.S. jurisdictions.

Another mentor commended her focus on marginalized groups. The graduation celebration also saw Kim being cheered on by her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker and several of her children.
