American chef, culinary writer, and TV broadcaster Daphne Nur Oz was born on February 17, 1986. She co-hosted the syndicated chat program, The Good Dish, and was one of five co-hosts of the ABC daytime talk show, The Chew for its first six seasons.
Earlier years
Oz turned 37 as of 2023. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Mehmet Oz and Lisa Oz, who are well-known TV hosts— she is the first of their children. Her grandparents Suna and Mustafa Öz, emigrated from Konya Province, Turkey.

In 2004, Daphne earned her diploma from Dwight-Englewood School after growing up in Cliffside Park, New Jersey. Oz earned a 2008 Princeton University diploma in Near Eastern Studies. Daphne has a degree in culinary arts from The Natural Gourmet Institute and is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Career
Oz’s books are aimed at helping people live a healthy life. One of her books, The Dorm Room Diet: The 10-Step Program for Creating A Healthy Lifestyle Plan That Really Works exposes how people can maintain a healthy lifestyle in college.

Aside from publishing mind-blowing books, Oz works as a co-host in several programs, like The Chew, amongst others. Little wonder, she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host in 2015.

Aside from The Chew, she has been featured on Fox & Friends, Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, The View, and Name Game.
Relationship
Oz is married to John Jovanovic. Oz and Jovanovic met in college where they formed a strong relationship. Jovanovic works as an analyst for an investment firm.

The couple tied the knot in Manhattan’s Municipal Marriage Bureau on August 26, 2010. After the civil ceremony, there were two religious ceremonies on August 28, 2010. One was presided over by Rev. Prescott Rogers of the Swedenborgian Church at the summer house of Oz’s maternal grandparents, and another one at Serbian Saints Church in Portland, Maine.
