Nightingale also presented during major events like the Rugby World Cup and ‘Ski Sunday’ on BBC Two. In 1999, she was a co-presenter on ‘London Tonight’ and the solo presenter of ‘London Today.’

In the 2000s, she anchored ITV’s holiday program ‘Wish You Were Here…?’ and presented ‘The Really Good Food Show.’ Her promotion to ITV Evening News in 2001 marked a significant milestone. Nightingale also hosted various ITV programs, including ‘Holidays Undercover’ and ‘Diana – A Service of Thanksgiving.’ 

In the 2010s, she occasionally presented ITV Lunchtime News and ITV News weekend bulletins. She became the host of ‘Britain’s Best Dish’ in 2011 and presented the special ‘William & Kate: The South Seas Tour’ in 2012. By January 2017, Nightingale became the sole presenter of the ITV Evening News.

Personal Life

In April 2000, Mary Nightingale married Paul Fenwick, a television producer and former Human Resource director at Trailfinders. The couple has two children. Nightingale’s personal life is closely tied to her professional achievements, as she balances her career with family life.
