Omoni Oboli launches Wives On Strike (The Series)

Have you seen Wives On Strike, and Wives On Strike (The Revolution)? Yes? No?? Well, if you haven’t then you totally need to as Omoni Oboli is launching Wives On Strike (The Series) and though we are not sure why, when, and where, we can only hope that the storyline is well put together.

It is true Wives On Strike tackles serious issues affecting the female gender, and so we should be all up for it, but let’s not forget that we love a great story and there shouldn’t be any compromise on that end either.

Wives On Strike told the story of a group of women who decided to deny their husbands sex in order for them to speak up against child brides. Wives On Strike (The Revolution) spoke against domestic violence when one of them was beaten to death by her husband.

The trailer of the upcoming series features Omoni Oboli, Kenneth Okonkwo, Julius Agwu, Chioma Akpotha, Uche Jombo, Ufuoma McDermott and Kehinde Bankole. Now, we are not sure what the storyline will be in the series, and we are not about to jump to a conclusion.

Omoni Oboli would be the second movie producer to turn a feature film into a series after Ebony Life’s Mo Abudu did it with Fifty. Fifty (The Series) has turned out to be quite a success and we can only hope the same happens for Wives On Strike (The Series).

From the trailer, we can see that the TV series also stars a new ensemble of Mercy Aigbe, Wofaifada, and Sambasa Nzeribe. Also, Uche Jombo was known in the movie as Madam 12:30 still running her locally famous restaurant is present, and a pregnant Kehinde Bankole who starred in the film’s first instalment. While we await the date for the premiere of the series, watch the trailer below:
