Lupita Nyong’o has become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, especially after being featured in Jordan Peele’s Us which was released in March. She has also happened to starr as one of the leads in the zombie comedy Little Monsters from Australian writer and director Abe Forsythe.
Lupita Nyong’o is reuniting with Forsythe again (Forsythe is the Australian filmmaker who also wrote and directed Down Under). This time, it is for an untitled science fiction comedy that has been won by Universal Pictures. According to an exclusive Deadline report, Forsythe will write the script and direct, while the Oscar winner, Nyong’o will produce with Made Up Stories’ Bruna Papandrea, Jodi Matterson and Steve Hutensky. Emil Stern, Sigmund Stern and Jeanne Snow will be executive producers.
Though the project was pitched as Miss Universe, it would not be going out under that title.
The plot details for the movie are not been shared with the public, sources report that it will be a mix of Men In Black and Miss Congeniality.
Lupita Nyong’o is also on board to star in a remake of John Woo’s 1989 action flick The Killer, and the international spy thriller, 355. She’s also producing and starring in an adaptation of Trevor Noah’s memoir Born A Crime, in which she will play Noah’s mother, Patricia. In addition, Nyong’o is set to star alongside Viola Davis in The Woman King and is expected to reprise her role as Nakia in Black Panther 2.
