The Bring Back Our Girls group will be holding a series of events today, Sunday, April 14th 2019, 5 years after 276 Chibok Schoolgirls were kidnapped.

While some have been released/rescued, 112 are still in custody.

The group is hosting a global week of action and on Friday, held a ‘Bring Back Our Girls Peaceful Walk’ to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)‘s office in Lagos.

They were received by  UNICEF representative, Mohammed Okorie who promised that UNICEF will intensify efforts to ensure the release of kidnapped victims.

“This is a painful milestone but we shall continue to demand for the release of the remaining Chibok Girls, Leah Sharibu, Alice Ngaddah and other kidnapped victims,” BBOG said in a statement.
